With a pH between 8.7 and 9.2, the main component of the lotion is 3% Thioglycolic Acid, which yields an average of 3 to 4 undulations in a basic technique. However, before starting the procedure, it is essential to test the hair with the product to determine if it can receive the treatment. Apply the product, wait for 30 minutes, and pull it to check if it is resistant and able to receive the product on all hair.
It is important to note that the lotion should not be used if the scalp is irritated, injured, or experiencing hair loss. Always respect a distance of 0.5 to 1 cm from the scalp during application. Hair that has been processed with other types of products, such as Pyrogalic Acid, Hydroxides (Sodium, Lithium, and Guanidine), metallic dyes, Lead Acetate, and hot iron, should not be subjected to this chemical. It is recommended to moisturize and cut the part with the old chemistry, separating it to receive the relaxation in the virgin portion of the hair.
